Great pizza spot_cash only and it's been around forever. It has a very old-school vibe, but the quality is elite and it's a staple in the community. Nestled just off the main street in Dunellen, you can't go wrong here, unless you only have Apple Pay. Excellent family-run service. Highly recommend.

Best Sicilian slice I've had in a long time. Most places don't do it the way it was done back in the day. But Rome does it the old school way in those oil rubbed black pans. Fantastic. Definitely will be back.
After moving from Brooklyn to central Jersey, I couldn't find anything that compares to a true NY slice.. That is, until I found Rome!! Reminds me of home- the taste, the atmosphere, the cash only (annoying but it's ok). I haven't tried anything else besides a plain pizza but it's just so good that I can't order anything else!
Best NY slice I've had in NJ and the calzone is unparalleled. It was freshly rolled and baked after ordering. I'm not usually a fan of calzones and would make a trip back here just for that!
I have been looking for a pizzeria that gets it right in my area for a while. After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to try this place out. The pizza (pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms) was excellent! Definitely plan to go back again.

The pizza is delicious. The service is good. My only concern is that they only accept cash. It makes things a little inconvenient when you want to grab a pie real quick, but don't have any cash on hand. You have to plan ahead for this pizza night.
This is hands down some of the best pizza I have ever had! Born in New York, traveled all over the world, and been to Italy 4 times... this pizza was epic! Fed my entire moving team that was working for a customer and even our customer had some and was blown away! Super epic! If I am ever in town again....I WILL BE BACK!
Obviously this neat clean old school storefront in Dunellen is doing something right since it's been around for 50 years!!! The pizza is the key here--it's very good with a delicious crust, tasty sauce and right amount of mozzarella on top! Hats off to the friendly family members who run the business. Looking forward to returning!
